• Execute TV/Print buying of high technical standards consistently and deliver value and other identified criteria. • Construct, update & revise the implementation plans (channel mix, day part mix, program selection) • Collaborate with communications planners in the development of implementation plans; ensure investment teams develop implementation plans based on the investment brief and discussions with communications planners • Working with other house of media specialists to provide evaluation of TV/Print programming properties • Liaise with planners to ensure the plan is optimum and that the planners understand the latest market circumstances • Understand cost effectiveness in every buying exercise and implement concept plans • Monitor day to day aspects of junior employees’ work to ensure high quality output • Response to client service requests • Liaise with media auditors and provide and check information to ensure MX’s case is well represented • Build & maintain the relationship with Media Owners/Media Suppliers • Production & presentation of buying reviews & market analyses • Resolving most trading issues with media owner group head/manager • Keep all information confidential in accordance with the company’s internal security policies • Undertake additional projects as requested, e.g. help on new business, analysis for overseas offices
• Good communication • Selling skills • Strong technical skills both in negotiation, buying & understanding • Expertise in all relevant software/systems e.g. Supermidas, Excel, PowerPoint • Understanding of relevant research e.g. BARB, Nielsen • Understanding of how TV/print buying fits into the wider media planning & buying process and its relation to advertising & marketing environment • Understanding of clients business
