• Works with top management to identify Key System and Process Measures • Assists top management in identifying opportunities for improvement, selection and scope. • Assists top management in the execution of improving the Key Process Measures by using Continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma, and CQI) • Assists top management in driving CI initiatives through organizational design and prioritize per business strategies. • Works with top management to identify CI champions within department • Develops feedback system of best practices with top management to report results • Creates a learning environment that encourages employees to feel personally conscious of quality improvement and internal and external customer focus • Utilizes adult learning concepts and Socratic methodologies in educational courses • Applies blended learning techniques where appropriate • Develops system measurements to track participant’s reaction and learning, in order to better manage the educational system • Develops educational tracking system to monitor class attendance • Works as part of a larger group to update and align educational methods and curriculum • Keeps all CI Champions up-to-date on team leadership and use of CI tools • Monitors departmental material and visual displays to make sure they are current and up-to-date through the CI Champions • Monitors facility CI calendars of monthly events by making sure they are up-to-date through the CI Champions • Assists in the formulation of data used for Kaizen Events and Problem Solving Teams • Instructs in the growth and development of problem solving teams • Oversees the documentation and sustainment of improvements made by CI Teams through the use of the CI Website and/or MS Office software. • Integrates use of visual display in manager/supervisor’s day-to-day management practices • Keeps up-to-date on reading material in the CI area • Shares new knowledge with top management and CI Champions • Maintain a working knowledge of new technologies • Follow company policies and procedures
• BS in either Quality, Business, or Engineering required • Lean Certification, MBA preferred Formal Black Belt training from qualified organization; Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification is strongly preferred. • 5 years in Building and executing Continuous Improvement Programs • Project Management Experience • Lean Methodologies, Statistical Process Control, and Theory of Constraints • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Visio), AutoCAD (layouts), A/S 400 Routing / BOM applications and the Company Data Collection System and Internet • Group problem solving and team dynamics • Change Management • Remain proactive and interactive in achieving results through others • Good platform communication skills in conducting educational courses • Work in a self-directed course of action • Effective time management & organizational skills • Work independently as well as in team environment • Effective interpersonal communication skills • Analytical & problem solving skills • Handle multiple projects simultaneously within established time constraints • Respond professionally in situations with difficult employee/vendor/consumer issues or inquiries
