Report to: Maintenance Manager
• Resolves day to day technical problems on the production line and ensures equipment and machinery compliance with production procedures and process specification related to mechanical, instrumental and electrical works. • Coordinate to repair, adjust and maintain production equipment, machinery, or instruments to ensure that it functions reliably and complies with process specifications. • Inspect completed work to check that repairs have been completed correctly and machinery and equipment conform to specification and safety standard. • Coach and mentor maintenance staff and assist them to diagnose more complex problems with machinery and equipment problems. • Respond to emergencies, break-downs, malfunctions and other operating problems to minimize disruption to manufacturing processes. • Implement an established maintenance program and maintain detailed maintenance records so that recurring problems with machinery, equipment or parts can be identified and addressed. • Set, calibrate or adjust equipment, machinery and instruments so that it complies with production specifications or instructions. • Maintain tools and repair equipment in good working order • Conduct periodic inspections to request for repair • Prioritize and assign tasks so that the team’s resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met.
• Degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering; • Good knowledge of unit operation process and hand-on experience on unit operation maintenance is required; • Have good practical exposure on chemical plant operation; • 5 – 7 year experience in the equivalent position • Good self- discipline and able to work independently • Ability to wear necessary and legislated safety equipment; • Excellent communications, interpersonal and managing skills; • PC literacy with good knowledge/skills in M/S Office, etc for report generation • Fluency in spoken and written English • Willing to work through holidays or off /rest days when deem necessary.
