• Liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers; • Forecasting price trends and their impact on future activities; • Negotiating and agreeing contracts; Processing payments and invoices; • Forecasting levels of demand for services and products to meet the business needs and keeping a constant check on stock levels; and monitoring their progress, checking the quality of service provided; • Conducting research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality; • Identifying potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers, and building and maintaining good relationships with them; • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking • Assess, manage and mitigate risks; Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies • Determine quantity and timing of deliveries • Keeping contract files and using them as reference for the future; • Training and supervising the work of other members of staff. • Producing reports and statistics using computer software weekly, monthly and an annual report to his direct supervisor; • Ensuring suppliers are aware of business objectives; • Giving presentations about market analysis and possible growth; • Developing an organization’s purchasing strategy; • Evaluating bids and making recommendations based on commercial and technical factors; • Performs other related jobs as assigned by the department head / manager • Attending meetings and trade conferences;
• Technical and equipment purchase. • 8 years management experience in purchasing in international companies • Product and process knowledge; Able to handle international purchasing • Understanding of production equipment and spare parts is advantages. • analytical skills;commercial awareness; ability to adapt to different client needs and to develop and maintain successful working relationships; • Good standard of numeracy in order to analyse facts and figures; flair for negotiation and networking; the ability to make important decisions and cope with the pressure of demanding targets and tight deadlines; • Planning: an ability to think ahead and prepare action plan to achieve results • Must be able to improve working conditions (safety, quality, productivity, cost) • Measure and control performance goals and standards • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills; Leadership and influencing skills. • Ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, and cost
