* Position Purpose
• Leader of a single-site garment manufacturing operation;
• Fully accountable for developing and achieving the operation’s strategic plan, including target volume and quality, effective deployment of resources, customer and employee satisfaction, as well as other collaborative initiatives with the headquarter.
* Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop and implement long term business plan and annual budget in alignment with corporate strategy.
• Ensure that the efficient delivery of products according to agreed standards.
• Enhance efficiencies of operations through continuous process improvements.
• Actively participate in corporate initiatives and align team objectives and priorities with the broader objectives of the organization.
• Attract, retain and motivate the team through effective leadership and communications
• Develop talents (especially independent critical thinkers), build people caring culture and plan for succession
• Ensure that the facility managed as is a valued member of the local community and in compliance with Esquel’s ethical standards and values.
• University graduate, preferably in engineering
• A post graduate qualification in business will be helpful, but not critical
• 10 years of experience in Garment manufacturing including in a labour-intensive environment
• Overseas experience an advantage
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Familiar with the concept of lean manufacturing
