Reports to: Director of Engineering, Accessory and Compliance/Southeast Asia Manager
• Compliance Engineer will perform a variety of tasks and takes direction from accessory and compliance manager.
• A significant degree of responsibility and pro-activity is expected.
• Email test requirements to QA/vendor for new go, move go, material change and annual, semi-annual test
• Lead test, Foam test, fabric test, UV test, cold/hot cycle test, formaldehyde test and other tests follow up
• Coordinate with lab for test progress
• Lead test, Foam test, fabric test, UV test, mattress test, bunk bed test result entry in CLS
• Maintain Foam, Fabric and webbing test tracking
• Working with raw material supplier to solve some quality issue
• • Finish Test (Adhesion, hardness, mar-resistance, chemical-resistance test), make PPT for each test and update into share point.
• ECO regulatory review in Calisto
• Law license maintain in QIS vendor page
• Law license registration and renewal assistance
• Email reminder for law license renewal
• Distribute annual vendor letter and other letters signing
• Regulation Research for new standard, requirements and testing method change
• Law label check and approval
• New vendor training and related VMI post approval
• Vendor CARB submission problem solving
• Invalid CARB certificate update
• CARB test arrangement and tracking maintenance, CARB guarantee letter approval
• Communicate with 3rd party lab for test and certification inquiry
• Supplier SKU list update per SCP request
• Regulation research for US or International markets
• Lamp zone list update
• Lamp, can light, power strip and other electrical parts UL certification/International certification tracking
• Asia ECO review
• COC approval
• VVS issue follow up
• SKU specification approval
• Company employee internal training
• Working with shipping team for the product material decalcification during the importation
Education
• Required
• College and above
• Major in English or law is a plus
Experience
• Good understanding of the international regulation
• Prefer to have furniture manufacturing background
• Prefer to have knowledge of furniture materials
