Purpose
• This position is primarily responsible for facilitating the HSE implementation and compliance at all customer locations in the specific country through deep engagement with the sales teams based at the respective locations and meaningful coordination with the country business heads.
• This position is also expected to take lead in driving the key developmental initiatives at customer locations in the specific country during commissioning of new contracts as well as for the existing contracts.
Key Result Areas
• Conduct pre-operational / periodic risk assessments of new / existing work locations and contribute to the risk mitigation initiatives
• Implementation of the relevant Group HSE Standards (includes PPE) with direct engagement with the respective site team PPE Risk Assessment PTW (Permit to work) Machine Safety Lock, Tag & Try
• Reporting of Incident / Accident
• Ensure adherence to the requisite legal/Statutory compliances at sites involving the line organization
• Coordinate with the site teams to monitor and improve their HSE performance
• Inspect / monitor the site activities particularly during the difficult or hazardous work situations
• Ensure the necessary emergency preparedness at the respective sites Escape Rout & Assembly Point Emergency Contact Number Conducting emergency drill Training on emergency preparedness
• Ensure that the site crews, contractors and site visitors receive proper HSE inductions and necessary training to perform their job safely
• In case of accident / DO, lead the respective site team to ensure compliance with 8D PPS method

• Monitor all H&S KPIs, share H&S indices with the site teams and ensure continual improvement through utilization of various HSE tools, such as Toolbox Talk SIOPA through Line PPS Safety Audit
• Continuous up gradation of knowledge on various application processes of FC & AR
• Preparation of weekly and monthly HSE reports, statistics related to HSE performance
Qualifications
• BE / B Tech (Mechanical / Electrical)
• Professional Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety / Industrial Safety Engineering would be an added advantage.
Experience
• 5 - 7 years of hands on experience in managing HSE practices in multiple manufacturing processes / service locations with proven delivery track records.
Knowledge
• In-depth understanding of concepts and principles of Occupational Safety, Risk Management & Mitigation
• Broad understanding of products and application processes at customer locations is of advantage.
• Basic understanding of customer processes – Iron & steel making.
• Broad understanding of Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics.
• Sufficient information or knowledge of Behavioural Safety, Occupational Health.
• Specialized knowledge and thorough understanding of Statutory Compliances linked to the HSE practices.
