Our client is a global company specializing in testing and inspecting, based in Europe.
Responsibilities:
• Develop a Growth Strategy for the AN business that is aligned to the Division Strategy and opportunities in the Local market in SEA • Convert the Growth Strategy into a set of Key Initiatives/Broad Action Plans & KPIs, & drive implementation of the same along with Country Heads & Regional in charge • Develop team capability in Business Development through training in AN tests, new directives etc, Operations, & the support functions like purchase to assist the execution of Growth Strategy in AN business • Actively engage with key customers (Local Buying Offices, Buying Houses & Vendors) to present the Solutions & Services to drive growth in the business; complement the Key Account Management activities related to Global Accounts with local business development efforts to capture opportunities at the local level • Identify & execute initiatives in Operations technical to support the Business Development requirements; • Develop initiatives to improve business profitability through improved productivity, efficient cost management, & asset utilization in AN labs • Ensure compliance with the processes necessary to support the Operations Scorecard in AN labs • Develop team capability and motivation through training/development, recruitments & Team Building initiatives in AN labs • Implementation of TS activities, Identifying opportunities on decentralization of TS activities, etc • Implementation and monitoring of GLPs in AN labs, Identifying opportunities to expand the scope of testing and hence business, • Planning and providing right resources in AN labs, • Ensuring that all labs are following procedures systematically, • Enhancing testing facility depending on local market requirement • Ensure compliance with Code of Ethics & local statutory requirements
• Change Management capability; ability to influence the key stakeholders & drive the Growth agenda • Extensive knowledge of the Textile Chemistry & Textile AN chemistry, General AN chemistry especially food chemistry, including testing, supply chain, solution providing capability, regional competitiveness, familiarity with Buying Houses, major vendors, fabric mills, Industry etc. • Hands-on experience in AN equipment operations, including an understanding of cost per tests, cycle times, quality assurance/Control systems, Application knowledge on ISO 17025, Desirably FSMS, ISO 43 guidelines etc. • Ability to identify potential improvements in the customers’ supply chain & customize solutions to drive the same would be desirable in case of Chemical areas • Comprehensive knowledge on different brands of equipment, their market prices, negotiation skills, etc • Good presenting skills • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles & six sigma
• Candidate experienced in Chemical is preferred
