Role Summary
Work on and support social media intelligence tools and products. Technologies you will use: • PowerShell, Bash or other scripting languages • SQL Server • C# .NET • Hbase, Hadoop, Red Hat • Windows/Linux Responsibilities include: • Provide technical and operational support for our social media monitoring tools and social intelligence products. • Propose and implement metrics and scripts to monitor and improve application and system performance • Work with our Help Desk to come up with solutions for customer issues. • Perform routine database and system maintenance • Work with our QA group to create performance test for releases. • Mentor junior application engineer
Skills and Experience: • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related field • 2 years system administration in a Windows/Linux environment • 1 years working knowledge and experience of SQL and relational databases • Knowledge of programming language • Agile Methodologies Desirable • Excellent verbal and written skills in English Personal skills and experience • Self-motivated and flexible in terms of meeting the demands of a varied and demanding role • Passion for development and software in general, huge plus if you can point us to your github or stackoverflow account or various side projects • Enthusiasm and willing to share knowledge with team members Qualifications and pre-requisite • Working in large scale/distributed system. • Involved from A-Z in release & intake cycle Benefit: • Salary: TBD - a competitive salary in a fun working environment • Training: On-site training, as well as receiving training with the newest technology
