Report to: Plant Manager (Expat) PURPOSE: To ensure quality products are efficiently produced per plan with optimal utilization of assets and maximize human resources. • Formulate and manage strategy through continuous improvement initiatives: identify opportunities, set goals & targets implement for improvement & implement improvement program, identify benchmarks & best practices,. • Manage & Develop staff: recruit, develop, training, retain & manage staff performance • Control production process: maximize efficiencies, maximize yields, execute production plan, ensured quality product • Manage cost & asset: formulate & manage budget, production variances, production overheads, working capital & capex; make sure all Machines and equipment in production are maintained • Comply to manufacturing system requirements: safety, quality, health, environment, etc.
• A 5 year tertiary qualification in Food Science & Technology or Engineering degree • Packaging diploma (SAB/University of KwaZulu Natal) • Completed Manufacturing Stream (Value Stream) of Supply Chain Academy • Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing management role • Minimum 3 years in a bottling or food processing plant • Networking, Influencing and Communication Skills • Leadership • Managing People • Problem Solving & Analysis • Decision Making • Planning Strategically • Project Management • Quality Improvement • Analytical Thinking
