SUMMARY • Creating consistency in brands and to: drive revenue, control costs, lead empowered teams, develop talent, retain talent, provide legendary service and comply with all legal compliance requirements and to execute the business’s vision and brand standards across the market. • Mentors, leads and develops Managers and Top Talent within their market. Work with business partners to influence and execute their market strategy and constantly looks for new opportunities and ways of working that will create a better business. ESSENTIALS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES Leading and coaching sales activities • Achieves and exceeds sales budgets • Accountable for controllable costs across market • Optimizes salary budgets to achieve payroll percent to sales • Reviews results and re-directs strategies • Ensures all new store openings are proactively managed to ensure successful • Identifies real estate opportunities across their market. Leads store team to deliver the best customer store experience through: • Visual execution and optimal commercial use of both space and fixtures • Use of Real Service (customer service standard of the brands) • Shop floor replenishment and productivity • Sets and embeds Brands • Influences the planning and distribution teams regarding assortment and quantities to drive levels according to store demographics and sales Builds and develops a high performance team in the market • Provides outstanding leadership to Store Management Teams generating high levels of motivation and commitment • Complete and deliver the manpower plan for the Market • Live performance management-create a climate of high quality feedback, coaching and development • Creates retention and career path strategies • Ensures a fully trained store team Demonstrates an effective and productive store - Risk Management is a focus • Ensures shelf availability, data integrity, shrink control, P&P compliance • Delivers effective payroll management • Controls losses through effective loss prevention plans • Ensures all actions are monitored and implemented Develop and manage strategic divisional objectives • Manages simultaneously a number of tasks in order to complete objectives within budget and time constraints • Delegates appropriately Management teams • Shares best practices and networks with peers • Investigates and employs the support resources available • Continually monitors spending with a view of achieving cost savings • Identifies opportunities for improvement in retail practices • Takes responsibility and ownership for completion of projects to departmental standard
Knowledge, skills and abilities • Proven leadership and communication skills • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to influence all levels of management and staff • Must have high sense of urgency with demonstrated ability to work independently and make effective decisions in a timely manner • Allocates time effectively, handles multiple demands and competing priorities Experience required • Proven track record in people development, manpower planning time management and strong leadership qualities • Retail mind-set
