Reporting To: Operation Manager Raw Material • Ensure raw material requirements are identified and orders have been given to suppliers. Maintain personal involvement where necessary in ordering process. • Periodically carry out audit on raw materials stock - ensuring stock gain/loss in within the approved variance; make sure quality control on raw materials is performed by QC at the frequency defined by the lab. Production and Quality • Ensure that proper procedures are followed during production process. • Carry out audit on batch-out record to ensure that batched quantities are within the allowable tolerance and also mix designs selected by operators are correct • Know about BCMix key features and is able to get reports • Control the daily tasks of Operational QC • Audit plant QC indicators ie ex-plant slump, control cube strength, site cube strength, Health - Safety – Environment Management • Constant communication about Health & Safety and issues to all subordinates. Create safety awareness among team-mates, suppliers, contractors and customers • Conduct staff/visitor induction as required. • Commit to and achieve policy rules on limits of working hours by employees • Ensuring a clean and tidy work place. • Conduct a daily inspection of the plant in accordance with the daily inspection routine. • Control his plant on health and environmental aspect ie first aid kit, emergency contact numbers (hospitals, Fire brigade, police etc), availability and condition of fire extinguishers, etc. Repair and Maintenance • Ensure daily plant checklist is performed by the batchers. • Keep an updated list of the maintenance works to be done. Monitor and ensure the completion of maintenance and operational logs for all plant equipments • Work closely with maintenance team on preventive maintenance: mixer, calibration of load cells, conveyor system • Prepare planned preventive breakdown maintenance • Liaise with plant repair contractors, and ensure that all maintenance are carried out according to HSE requirements of the company. Staff Management • Set up working schedule, control presence and over time of plant employees • Liaise with other Plants Managers to ensure maximization of resources. • Provide advice and on-job training. • Organize weekly plant meetings involving sales, quality and operators; maintenance and operator as well as driver leader • Participate to bonus allocation of QC team and drivers • Ask for immediate written explanation from a faulty employee and Inform management and HR about required disciplinary actions Customers • Visit customer sites every week • Read carefully the daily commercial report as well as customer survey and implement immediate corrective action • React immediately in case of concrete shortage claim • Assist Sales Executive in handling complaint related to Quality and then seek advice/help from QC Dep Driver and trucks Management • Control trucks and drivers availability daily and monitor utilization to ensure effective delivery of products. • Control regularly daily truck checklists are completed and ensure scheduling and completion of maintenance requirements (including subcontractor trucks) • Control weekly some trucks to ensure house keeping of the truck, daily checklist, safety equipments and work hours • Liaise with workshop staff to ensure all fleet management maintenance is completed.
• University graduate in construction or industrial management • At least 4 year experience in concrete business and minimum 1 year in plant management • Safety Management Skills, Integrity and Values Competency • Environmental Management Skills • Material Management Skill • Customer Focus Competency • Human Resource Management Skill, Leading People Competency • Computer literacy • Good English communication
