Report to Head of Marketing • The person should be able to work on preparing detailed business case(s) for the products being considered. Good set of assumptions for ensuring that all factors have been considered while developing the case. Primary as well as Secondary research to help understand assumptions better and to analyze trends for creating good forecasts for the Industry, Product Categories being considered. • The person needs to have atleast 12 -15 years of experience in which he/she would have been exposed to most aspects of Sales & Marketing – with particular focus on Business Development (in the last role). • Should be a self-initiator who can work diligently with new companies for creating strategic & sustainable partnerships & tie-ups. This would involve liaisoning, networking within these companies and internally with the Executive Committee (Excom) as well as some of the key team members. He/she should be able to generate scenarios for to take robust decision on opportunities that are created for possible revenue streams in future. • A sound knowledge of financial modeling is required. Person should have good understanding of Net Cash Flows, NPV, Payback period calculations etc. • He/she should be able to work alone or with limited team support (to start with – the role will expect the person to demonstrate a sound approach to how such opportunities will be created & developed). As the business opportunities are finally converted to feasible plan(s), he/she should be able to put together a good business plan for the next 3-5 years. This planning would include budgets for marketing spends (to promote the range), market approach strategy (route to market) as well as resource planning for the same. The person should be have high values and should be able to completely align with the four core values of the company which are: • Excellence • Integrity • Collaboration • Endurance He/she should also be able to abide by the Code of Business Conduct (a copy of the same will be given to him/her on joining).
• Degree qualifications in either a related technical field or Business Administration, or substantial relevant industry experience and proven track record of achieving high sales targets in a very competitive, service based environment. • Years of experience: Minimum of 8 Years experience and 5 years at senior management level. • A minimum of 4 years experience leading a Business Development team within a multinational, professional services (preferably engineering, construction) organization. • Advanced time management and organizational skills with the ability to self-manage work time and meetings, and efficiently ensure that all administrative processes associated with Business Development (for example, maintaining the CRM) are efficiently undertaken. • Advanced written and spoken communication skills including advanced negotiation and persuasion skills. • Advanced understanding of the technical aspects, costs and scheduling of Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Architecture and Engineering Design and Project Management in order to be able to influence and sell services to clients. • Intermediate leadership skills with a strong results-orientation. • Intermediate skills in departmental budgeting and financial management. • Advanced written and spoken English skills are also required.
